Academically Talented
The mission of the Academically Talented Program is to provide appropriate educational opportunities for those students who display attributes associated with academic talent in reading and in mathematical learning areas. Read more
Curriculum Renewal Cycle
At the Secondary Level, each academic content area of our Curriculum is reviewed, evaluated and renewed on a prescribed cycle every five years. Included in the cycle are five distinct phases of development and implementation including intensive research and data-driven monitoring. This extensive process ensures that our curriculum is current with the learning standards, relevant to the world outside our school walls and competitive with that of the other districts of excellence.

H.E.R.O.E.S (Helping Everyone Reach Optimal Educational Success)
H.E.R.O.E.S. is the grades 6-12 professional development initiative which provides staff with instruction on the use of Differentiation Strategies in the classroom. The use of differentiation strategies is a valuable technique that ensures that every student is able to be reached at his/her instructional level and strength.
Oswego Works for Literacy
Recognizing that students need reading comprehension support in grades 6-12, Oswego District 308 has instituted this instructional plan to address their needs. Language arts teachers with teach the skills directly, and content teachers will use the skills to access concepts. This plan is based on materials and instruction provided by Gretchen Courtney and Associates. Read more
SEED - Student Experiential Education Development
The Oswego School District 308 has taken a new approach to its Experiential Education Program. In the past, students visited the Kendall County Outdoor Education Center. Due to rising costs and the growth of the school district, the program is now run through the school district. Read more

Since 2005, a Student Curriculum Council (SCC) has provided students in District 308 with a voice in curriculum programming and development. Read more
