Clubs and Activities

Wolf's Crossing Elementary School provides a variety of special programming that provides unique character to our school. The links below are make connections to the many different opportunities that we offer.

Intramural Sports for fourth and fifth grade students during the 2008-2009 school year are:
First Quarter: Girls Soccer (Mrs. Torbett) and Boys Flag Football (Mr. Tamez)
Second Quarter: Girls and Boys Hockey (Mrs. Mahoney and Mr. Malmstrom)
Third Quarter: Girls Basketball (Mrs. Brown)
Fourth Quarter: Girls and Boys Track (Mrs. Tellone and Mr. McCarthy)

Postal Club
This club encompassed third through fifth grades. Under the supervision of Ms. Bratt, students learned about the postal system. They then created a school wide mail system which regularly delivered mail to our students and staff.

Student Council
This club is for students in fourth and fifth grades. Under the direction of Mrs. Apple, students had many different opportunities to support Wolf’s Crossing and the surrounding community. Students assisted at the fun fair and other building activities. Two spirit weeks were designed and advertised by this club for the students and staff here at Wolf’s Crossing to participate in. For the community, this club held a food drive and collected monetary donations throughout the year to aid various local community organizations such as Rover Rescue and St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

Year Book Club
Third, Fourth and Fifth graders participate in the yearbook club. Miss Goding and Mrs. Torbett lead this club. These students actively assisted in creating our yearbook for Wolf’s Crossing. Many of the layouts in our current yearbook were designed by our own students!

Book Club Primary
Mrs. Foulkes, Mrs. McBrayer, and the 1st and 2nd grade students will read and discuss books of various genres to continue developing FUNdamental reading skills!  Students will also participate in a variety of engaging activities that go along with each book they read.

Book Club Intermediate
Mrs. Layman, and students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will have to opportunity to be  the first to read the brand new books that come to the LRC before they are placed on the shelf!  Students will be reading the books and creating cereal box summaries to be displayed in the LRC.

Help Support our Troops Club
Mrs. Caston and Mrs. Plaza are in charge of this club.  The details will be coming soon!

Honor Choir
Honor Choir is an extra-curricular performing group offered to grades four and five that meets before school once per week during the second half of the school year. This is a non-auditioned choir and it is open to all interested fourth and fifth grade students. We perform a variety of songs at Fine Arts Night at Wolf's Crossing and at the District 308 Honor Choir Festival at Oswego East High School in the spring. Sign up takes place before winter break and more information will be sent home to all fourth and fifth graders in early December.
