About the Administration

I currently live in Wheaton and have lived in that community my entire life. I attended Wheaton schools for my primary, junior high and high school experiences. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Illinois State University. My area of concentration was special education. My teaching career began at Boulder Hill Elementary working as a teacher for Kendall County Special Education Cooperative. I taught students in grades third through fifth who were identified under the special education category of Emotionally Disturbed. I worked with this population of students for three years.

During my teaching career, I pursed a Master’s degree from Northern Illinois University eventually, obtaining my type 75 Administrative degree. Upon my completion, I accepted a position as a special education Coordinator with Kendall County Special Education Cooperative. During my five years as a coordinator, I worked with many different special education populations. After my career with Kendall County, I joined the Oswego School District, accepting a position as Assistant Principal at Homestead Elementary and The Wheatlands Elementary schools. For three years, I served as Assistant Principal at both buildings.

In 2005 I was given the unique opportunity to open Wolf’s Crossing as the building Principal. It was a true honor and privilege to open this building with the excellent staff here at Wolf’s Crossing! They represent the brightest and best Oswego has to offer. I have also truly enjoyed getting to know our students, families and community. The best part of my day is visiting classrooms!

My husband and I live two blocks from our childhood homes and our parents. We are true animal lovers and have a grey cat named Scout and a turtle named Moe.This past November Joe and I welcomed Andrew home.  He is a joy and we are loving our new role as parents.  In my free time I enjoy reading books, walking, antiquing and shopping.

I am so appreciative of all the positive support our community demonstrates daily. A strong collaborative working relationship is critical to our students’ academic and social development! Thanks for all you do and entrusting Wolf’s Crossing with your most precious gift, your children. It is a true joy to work with them!

I was born and raised in Joliet, attending St. John’s for elementary school and Joliet West for High School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from IllinoisStateUniversity. I completed my student teaching in 3rd Grade at Long Beach Elementary, and was lucky enough to fill a maternity leave in 3rd Grade following graduation at The Wheatlands. I continued to teach there for the following three years until helping to open Wolf’s Crossing in 2005. During my time at The Wheatlands, I obtained my Master’s Degree from The University of St. Francis (in Joliet), and received my Type 75 Administration Degree in the summer of 2005.
When Wolf’s Crossing opened in 2005, I jumped at the opportunity to open a school for the first time. I joined the 3rd Grade Team for the next three years, and then last summer decided to make the leap to teach 5th Grade. It was a great challenge and pleasure to switch grade levels and see the growth my 3rd Graders had made over the years.

This year, a new challenge awaits me, in taking over the Assistant Principal position for the rest of the year. In my first couple of days here, I must say it has been an absolute blast to see the many smiling faces each day!

Personally, I now live in Plainfield with my lovely wife Sarah, beautiful daughter Sydney, and crazy dog, Comiskey (yes, another girl). In my free time, I love running with the dog, playing softball and golf, and just hanging out with friends (Game Nights are the best!).

I just want to say thank you to all the teachers, parents, and students that have made this transition a fun and exciting one for me. It is truly an honor and privilege to call a wonderful place like Wolf’s Crossing my home!
