Wolf's Crossing LRC Information
The LRC includes two research areas, a story time area and an instructional area. There are seven computers that the students may use for Renaissance Place, research and to locate material through the online card catalog. Kindergarten through fifth grade have weekly scheduled times for information literacy lessons and checkout. First through fifth grade teachers send their students as individuals and groups throughout the school year to research and complete activities. Activities are planned by the teachers and LRC director to follow the grade level curriculum. The LRC staff also manage the computer lab, where students go on a weekly basis, either with their classroom teacher or the LRC director, to improve their technology skills. Some of the programs available to the students include Kid Pix, Inspiration, PAWS (a keyboarding program), Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Publisher and Movie Maker.
