The goal of the Traughber athletic program is to provide students with the opportunity to develop a sense of pride and teamwork while developing skills that will allow them to be successful in athletics throughout their school experiences. The focus is on developing character as an athlete, as well as accomplishing both team and individual goals.
Traughber offers two options within the athletic department: Intramurals and Interscholastic sports.
Athletics, coaches, officials, parents, and spectators should display positive values and attitudes. At any sporting event, the six pillars of character should be taught, enforced, modeled, and promoted.
This is a core value, and it is essential that sportsmanship be promoted and practiced by all who are involved in interscholastic athletics and activities. We would like to uphold the spirits of the events no matter if your fortunes are good or bad in the competition. Let's look above the desires and pressures to win, and promote and practice the academic, emotional, and moral well-being of the athletes.
No food, drinks, or gum in the gym. Hats are not allowed on school grounds.
