Parent Organization
Each District 308 school is generously supported by the efforts of its parent organization. The individuals in these groups have graciously volunteered countless hours of time and effort to help our students thrive. From fund raising, assistance at school events, and the development of special programs to communicating with parents to keep them informed about their children’s education, the parent/school relationship is a critical and valued partnership. District 308 so strongly believes in the partnership between the school and families that it is the cornerstone of the district’s mission.
The district encourages parents to join their children in forming a close relationship with their school. By working together towards a common goal, everyone—especially our children—will benefit.
The Wheatlands PTA
Mission
To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in schools and in the community that makes decisions affecting children. To encourage parent and public involvement in our schools.
Meetings
The Wheatlands PTA meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.
Due to the hectic schedules of many families during the months of Nov-Jan., the board recommends holding executive meetings only during this time. If you have any items you wish to be discussed during these months, please email a board member so that they can bring your questions/concerns to the board. Regular general meetings will resume in February on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm. Please check the website for updates and minutes from these executive meetings. Enjoy these holiday months with your family!
