I am extremely excited about this school year! I have moved all around growing up, but Oswego has been my favorite place to live. I moved here about 10 years ago and attended the "old" Traughber for eighth grade. I attended the only high school back then, OHS, and graduated in 2003. After graduation I attended Elmhurst College and received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduating college, I had the opportunity to sub for my mentor teacher's maternity leave. I taught third grade from January to June in Wheaton. Once the school year was over, I began looking for another teaching position. A few days before school started, I landed a job in district 129 as a fifth grade teacher. I really enjoyed the age group and had a great year. Unfortunately, the district's budget could not afford to keep all of the teachers in the district. During the summer I was looking for a job and planning a wedding. In July I had a beautiful wedding and left for my honeymoon in Los Cabos. Once I got back, I was lucky to get an interview and third position here at Southbury. I am thrilled to be apart of the faculty and know that this will be the best year!
