ECO CLUB - please come to Mrs. Phelps room right after school on Friday so you can take a club picture. French club will be having a fundraiser night at Buffalo Wild Wings this Friday the 11th. Ten percent of your purchases will go to supporting French Club so get your friends and family together for fun and good food. Find a French club member, go to room two twelve or ask any teacher for a voucher. Tickets are now on sale for the musical, Hairspray. You can get them during your lunch hour in front of the auditorium or online. The culinary/fashion trip abroad to Paris, France and Milan, Italy for June two thousand thirteen still has a few openings for interested travelers.   Fund-raising has begun and traveling time will be here before you know it. If you are still interested in traveling but have not registered, it's important to get registered as soon as possible. Please see Ms. Bridge in room one ninety four for more information. There are some summer volunteer opportunities posted in the career center for the summer. Be sure to stop by to check them out!
Attention Seniors: Herff Jones will deliver caps & gowns on Tuesday, May 15th during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Bring your balance due to pick up your cap & gown. Herff Jones does not accept personal checks at this time. Please pay online at www.herffjonesil.com or bring cash on delivery day. If you did not order your cap & gown, you may purchase a cap & gown on Tuesday, May 15th. The cost is $60.00. In sports’ news, congratulations to the girls Varsity track & field team for their fourth place finish as a team at the Conference meet! The JV team also finished in third place. Varsity All-Conference honors go to - Senior Riley Vann winning 3 individual events (pole vault, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles), Junior Ashley Golembeski winning the 800 meter run, Junior Kelsey Hjorth taking second place in the 1600 meter run, Junior Allison Darby placing fourth in the 3200 meter run, Freshmen Princess Shodipo taking second place in the 100 meter hurdles, and Junior Rachel Burkhart placing third in the pole vault. Also, JV All-Conference honorsgo to Michaela Ponstein - conference champ 100 meter hurdles, Kyley Vicik, Emma Beck, Kayla Perez, Alex Choi, Abena Owusu, and Taylor Boyce - conference champ shot put. Excellent work to all the ladies! Wish the girls luck as they compete at Sectionals tonight at Joliet West!
 
In additional sports’ news, Ashley Jourdan pitched a near perfect game the Freshman Softball team defeated Romeoville twelve to zero on Tuesday. McKayla Nila, Sarah Thies, Hannah Bafundo, Margaret Smerz, Brooke Linden, and Marissa Hensley also played well. In sophomore baseball results, Oswego lost a tough battle against Plainfield East Tuesday night. Zach West, Jerome Minick, Tucker Vann, and Charlie Jakubowski played well. Oswego Panther Basketball Summer informational meeting is on Tuesday May fifteenth at two forty in the Small Gym. Questions? See Coach Schnabz in the Deans' Office. For any girl interested in trying out for Girls Basketball next year there will be a meeting in room two zero five at two forty five on Thursday. Next season and summer information will be discussed. Any questions please see Coach Pohlmann.
