Any graduate that hasn't filled out a Senior Final Transcript Request Form, please stop down in the Career Center and see Mrs. Colvin as soon as possible. Attention seniors: senior quotes and senior award ballots for the yearbook are due tomorrow. There will be a mother/son dance on Friday at East View Kindergarten Center. Please sign up for volunteer help in the career center. Any students who have yet to pick up their clothing projects need to do so before tomorrow or your project will be donated. Tickets are now on sale for the musical, Hairspray. You can get them during your lunch hour in front of the auditorium or online at www.ohstickets.org. Tickets are eight dollars for students and nine dollars for adults. Tickets are one dollar more at the door, so get your tickets early before we sell out. FEA is meeting Tuesday May eighth before school at 7a.m. in room 211. They will be planning our senior party, and teacher recognition. All members are welcome. Snacks will be provided.
In sports’ news, the JV soccer team bounced back from a tough defeat on Monday night by beating Minooka on Tuesday by the score of 4-0. Scoring for the Panthers were: Caitlin Lukowski, Ami Zacker, Nicole Charielle, and Mariah Mantzke. The Panther defense once again shut down their opponents as Emily Maslanka and Taylor Bailey combined for the shutout in goal. Great job ladies! This past Friday the Varsity girls competed at the Tiger Invitational, an 18 team meet, against some of the top athletes in the state. Senior Riley Vann took second place in the pole vault and the 300 hurdles, as well as 5th in a tough 100 meter hurdle race. Sophomore Alexus Ramirez took 7th in the discus, scoring points for the Panthers. Ramirez also threw her personal best in the shot put. Junior Kelsey Hjorth took 7th place in the 1600 meter run breaking the school record with a time of 5:11.13. Senior Michaela Ponstein took 8th place in the 300 hurdles, and Junior Kelsey Hjorth took 7th place in the 1600 meter run breaking her own school record with a time of 5:11.13! Excellent work ladies! Wish all the girls good luck in tonight's Southwest Prairie Conference meet at Plainfield Central.
