Quest Bridge Scholarships
QuestBridge is pleased to announce the launch of the 2009 National College Match program, which continues our efforts to assist high-achieving low-income students in gaining admission and full four-year scholarships to leading colleges. We would like to invite you to connect your qualified students with this opportunity.
Last year, more than 1,000 QuestBridge applicants gained admission to our partner colleges with generous financial aid, and 260 of these students received College Match scholarships covering the following costs:
- Full cost of tuition (up to $40,000 per year)
- Full cost of room and board (up to $15,000 per year)
Our 26 partners include many of the nation’s top-ranked universities and liberal arts colleges, such as:
- Amherst College
- MIT
- Pomona College
- Princeton University
- Stanford University
- Yale University
We recognize that much of QuestBridge’s ability to assist outstanding low-income students has been due to support from educators, such as your recommendation of Jacqueline Davalos for our program. With the opening of this year’s application cycle, we would like to encourage you again to make your students aware of this opportunity.
We would welcome your help in spreading the word to qualified students in any of the following ways:
- Direct students to the QuestBridge website (www.questbridge.org).
- Distribute our National College Match flyer, which is available as an electronic download at www.questbridge.org/access/educators.
- Post the text of the announcement below on your school's website.
- Share this information with other educators who may know qualified students.
The National College Match application is available on our website free of charge and is due on September 30, 2009.
QuestBridge is also pleased to offer Quest for Excellence Awards as a complement to the National College Match. These awards include laptop computers, all-expense-paid visits to QuestBridge partner colleges, and career mentoring opportunities (e.g., with the Wall Street Journal and the consulting firm McKinsey & Company). Please visit www.questbridge.org for more information.
Thank you for working with us to support the educational goals of high-achieving low-income students. Please feel free to contact us with any questions at educators@questbridge.org.
