About the Administration
Dr. Jeff Craig
Principal
Jeff Craig became Principal of Oswego East High School on July 1, 2008. He comes to Oswego with a variety of administrative experience including Principal of Rich East High School, in Park Forest, IL, for four years and the Principal of Central High School in the Davenport Community School District in eastern Iowa.
Dr. Craig served in Community High School District 218 as the Assistant Principal for Activities at Harold L. Richards High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois and as the Dean of Students for eight (8) years at Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights, Illinois. During his nine years, Dr. Craig successfully implemented a variety of processes and projects improving the quality of life for students, parents, and staff. Most notably among his contributions and accomplishments are the Freshmen Transition Program, Teacher Academy and Prom Promise.
Dr. Craig has been deeply involved with the sport of wrestling for the past 39 years as a competitor, coach and official. He has officiated at all levels of state and national competition, organized tournaments, assisted with the wrestling venue at world championships and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta Georgia.
He received his Doctorate in Education Administration from the University of Illinois, a master’s degree in educational leadership from Loyola University-Chicago and has a bachelor’s degree in industrial arts from Northern Illinois University.
He and his wife, Mary, live in Oswego. They have three adult children.
Will Dwyer
Assistant Principal for Curriculum & Instruction
I am excited to begin my first year at OEHS as Assistant Principal. Prior to this year, I have served as the Division Director for Athletics, Science and Physical Education at Oak Lawn Community High School. Before that, I served in School District 227 as both teacher and then as Assistant Principal for Activities and Athletics.
I received my undergraduate degree in History and Secondary Education from Augustana College and my Master's degree from Governor's State University.
I live in Orland Park with my wife, Sara and our 2-year-old son, Liam.
Jim Seput
Assistant Principal-Building and Grounds
I am entering my sixth year at OEHS and fifth year as Assistant Principal. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I served as Dean of Students at East. I serve as the assistant principal in charge of the Operations of the Building & Grounds and oversee all clubs and activities. I also serve as the administrative liaison to the Kinetic Wellness & World Language Departments.
My teaching career began in 2000 in Valley View School District where I was a Physical Education/Health teacher and Dean of Students. My extra curricular activities included coaching football, basketball, and track. Before receiving my teaching certificate I owned two different businesses and coached football at the University of St. Francis.
My bachelor’s degree is in Psychology from St. Francis, I have a master’s degree in Athletic Administration from the University of Illinois-Chicago, my Teaching Certificate is from Lewis University, and I hold a second master’s in Leadership and Administration from Benedictine University. My wife of thirteen years is Joy and we have three children (2 daughters and a son); Riley (12), Zoey (9) and Mason (6).
