Meet the 2008/2009 Oswego East JV Poms Competitive Squad!Coach Staples,
630-636-2367 Emy Aros – Junior (Captain) I have been dancing since I was 5 years old. I did hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap, and pointe. I have danced at Vaughn Dance Academy and Goldstar Academy of Dance. I was on Bednarcik poms for 7th and 8th grade, and OEHS poms 9th and0 10th. I have been captain for the JV squad for last year and this year. Michelle Weber – Sophomore (Captain) I took my first ballet class at about 5 at Prairie Point. Then I joined OYTF starting in 2nd grade, poms at Bednarcik for 7th-8th, 9th grade poms @ OEHS, and now I am captain of the JV Squad for my sophomore year. Some extracurricular activities I enjoy are band, pit orchestra for the musical, flute, and piano lessons. Tiffany Tindell – Sophomore (Captain) I have been a member of OYTF for 5 years. I was also on Plank poms, and OEHS poms. I am currently a captain for the JV squad. Some other extracurricular activities that I enjoy are being a part of the OEHS choir and I am trying out for the spring musical too. Rachel Haaker - Sophomore I have been dancing for 2.5 years. I was in Bednarcik poms, Roxanne’s Dance Academy, and OEHS poms too. Another activity I like to participate in is band. Katie Koehler- Sophomore I took my first dance class when I was around 4 years old. Through the park district, I took ballet, tap and jazz. I was on OYTF for 6 years, Plank Poms in 8th grade, and OEHS JV poms my freshman year. Some extracurricular activities I enjoy are piano lessons, women’s choir, and guitar lessons. Arianna Konen- Sophomore I have danced for 10 years and been in poms for 3 years. I went to Waterford ballet and Storm Dance Alliance. I took ballet, jazz and hip hop. Hip hop is my favorite. I also was a member of Thompson poms and OEHS JV poms. One extracurricular activity that I enjoy is concert choir. Kiley Riggio- Sophomore I have been dancing for the past 6 months at Goldstar and Roxanne’s. I have been in and out of gymnastics for 5 years. Some other extracurricular activities that I enjoy are band and Drama Club. Shannon Thorne- Sophomore I participated for 3 years in OYTF. I also was at Storm Dance, in Thompson poms, Plank poms, and OEHS poms. Mary Bernard - Freshman I was in gymnastics for 2 years, hip hop for 2 years, Plank poms for 8th grade and OYTF for 3 years. I also am a member of the OEHS marching band. Mackenzie Borders- Freshman I’ve been dancing for 10 years. I danced at the park district, Goldstar, and poms at Bednarcik for 2 years. Alix Bosman- Freshman I have been dancing for a few years at many places, including Love2Dance and Goldstar. I cheered on OYTF for 3 years and participated in poms at Bednarcik for 7th and 8th grade. One extracurricular activity I enjoy is Elite tumbling. Lisa Frieders- Freshman I did poms in 8th grade at Bednarcik and I took a poms class too. I also took gymnastics when I was little. Ksandra Jackson- Freshman I’ve been dancing since I was in diapers. I was on poms for 2 years at Plank and cheerleading for Aurora Rebels. Some extracurricular activities I enjoy are track and volleyball. Celina LaBat- Freshman I danced since I was 5 years old when I lived in Florida and South Elgin. I was in poms in 7th and 8th grade at Bednarcik Junior High. Some extracurricular activities that I enjoy are track and choir. Amber Page- Freshman I have done 5 years for the Aurora Wildcats, gymnastics, poms for 2 years and ballet. Taylor Reid- Freshman I dance for our school pom squad for two years at Plank. One extracurricular activity that I enjoy is soccer. Alex Strahanoski- Freshman I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. I danced at La Danse and School of Performing Arts. I was also on poms last year at Plank Junior High. Meghan Voss- Freshman I was in gymnastics for 5 years at Flipsters and Premiere West. I also did Poms for 1 year at Plank Jr. High
