What is Advanced Placement (AP)

  • The Advanced Placement (AP) Program is a cooperative educational endeavor between secondary schools and colleges and universities.

  • The AP Program gives students the opportunity to try college-level work in high school.

  • The Program's success is rooted in the collaborative efforts of motivated students, dedicated teachers, and committed schools

About the AP Test

  • AP testing will take place over a two week period – May 5th through May 16th, 2008

  • $ 84 per exam

  • Deadlines for testing

    • 1st semester classes - $15 deposit towards each exam by January 25, 2008

    • 2nd semester classes - $15 deposit towards each exam by March 14, 2008

  • Final payment due on April 18, 2008.

 

The AP Exam Five Point Scale

     5 – Extremely well qualified for credit

     4 – Well qualified for credit

     3 – Qualified for credit

     2 – Possibly qualified for credit

     1 – No recommendation
