Driver Education - Post Driver Ed Tips
Helpful steps for students/parents when Driver Education
has been completed
Within the first week of completion of Driver Ed.
students/parents should:
- Go to ISBE.net
- Click on Students
- Click on Driver Education student License Inquiry
- Enter permit #
- If approves you are ready to go to the DMV. If you met the
requirements to take your cooperative test at OEHS then all
you need is to take the sheet along with you to the DMV. If
the requirements were not met you must take the driving test
at the DMV.
Things to bring when going to the DMV:
- Certified Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- 50 Hour sheet(driving w/parent-guardian)
- Exam receipt (copy of permit-instructor will give you this
after your final drive).
- Cooperative Testing Sheet- If you met requirements
- Proof of insurance
- Car in working condition (lights, signals, horn, etc.)
When taking the test at the DMV.
