He's back for another year! This is his 3rd year at Long Beach School, but has worked in administration before.
He has been a Principal for the three years at Jamaica School District in Sidell, Illinois. Sidell is located about 30 minutes southeast of Champaign, Illinois.
Before Jamaica, he was an elementary teacher for 10 years in the Jacksonville School District system located in Jacksonville, Illinois, a town located about 30 minutes west of Springfield, Illinois. In Jacksonville. He has taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades at Lincoln Elementary School.
He has four brothers that reside in Indiana and North Carolina. He is originally from the Lockport area and wanted to relocate back to this area for some time.
He has been a great asset to Long Beach School - students, parents, and staff!

Meet the newest LION!
First of all, I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with families and staff here at Long Beach. This is my first administrative position and my first job within District 308. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming to my family and me. Joel, my husband, and I have two wonderful children, Isabella-6 and Vincent-4, who have already been here to visit. (I couldn’t get them off the playground!)
As you may already know, I spent the last nine years as a Reading Specialist in Kaneland. My initial teaching positions were in Head Start, first and third grades. I currently have my administrative certification, a Masters in Education with certification as a Reading Specialist, and a bachelor’s degree with Early Childhood Education certification. Hopefully my experiences will be of service to the students, staff, and community of Long Beach!
