Clubs and Activities
Lakewood Creek Elementary School provides a variety of special programming that provides unique character to our school. The information below will provide details about the many different opportunities that we offer for students. Please see the current school calendar for dates and times.
Before and After School Sports
This program is designed for fourth and fifth grade students who would like to get involved in team sports, develop their skills, learn basic offensive and defensive strategy, in a competitive, but fun environment. These programs change each quarter.
Character Counts Club
Club members help to promote the qualities and characteristics represented by the pillars of the Character Counts program.
Honor Choir
This activity is open to fourth and fifth grade students that like to sing. Students will learn the basics of singing in a choir through the use of warm-ups and a diverse repertoire. They will perform at times throughout the year. Will meet during scheduled times after school.
Safety Patrol
Students in fifth grade have the opportunity to participate in Safety Patrol. Students are assigned a responsibility to assist staff members during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. The students are instrumental in maintaining a safe environment throughout our building. Students work everyday and meet once or twice a month during lunch/recess.
Recycling Club
The Recycling Club works to promote awareness of conservation. Through the collection of discarded paper, can drives, pencil sales, and Earth Day events. Students meet with Mrs. Lutz during scheduled lunch/recess times.
