Academically Talented
The mission of the Academically Talented Program is to provide appropriate educational opportunities for those students who display attributes associated with academic talent in reading and in mathematical learning areas. The Academically Talented (AT) Program provides its grades 3rd - 12th student population with services that modify the regular curriculum program.
Reading
The Reading Corner offers additional support to students who struggle with reading skills. These services are provided either in a “pull-out” format (children come to one of the reading rooms), or “push-in” (the reading specialists work with students in their classrooms).

Learning Disabilities
We believe all children can learn. They learn in different ways and at different rates. Children need a safe and nurturing environment that provides opportunities for their academic success, and promotes their social and emotional development. A learning disability is a difficulty in acquiring basic academic skills that is experienced by a person with average or above average intelligence.
Social Work
School Social Workers are a vital part of the educational team, working together with educational administrators, teachers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, speech and language pathologists and other staff.
Speech
District #308 provides speech and language services to students who qualify in order to assist them in achieving their highest level of academic performance. Speech and language services are provided by speech-language pathologists (SLPs) who have had extensive training in the assessment and treatment of these disorders.
