The Kendall County Health Department has scheduled visits to area schools to provide immunizations to students--including a stop at Bednarcik and Thompson Junior High Schools in District 308. The immunizations have been scheduled at six locations from August 11-14. ...Read More

A recent revision to District 308’s 2009-10 school year calendar converted five regular attendance days into early dismissal days for students. Students will be expected to attend school for only five hours on September 10, December 10, March 11, and May 13. A Back to School Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 8 at the John Harkness Recreation Center, 60 S. Fourth St., Aurora. This fair brings together services and supplies for limited-income students attending schools in Aurora. Qualifying children can receive free school supplies and a backpack. Services available include immunizations; physicals; and dental, lead and eye screenings. The fair is sponsored by Communities in Schools-Aurora.
