Parent Organizations

Each District 308 school is generously supported by the efforts of its parent organization. The individuals in these groups have graciously volunteered countless hours of time and effort to help our students thrive. From fund raising, assistance at school events, and the development of special programs to communicating with parents to keep them informed about their children’s education, the parent/school relationship is a critical and valued partnership. District 308 so strongly believes in the partnership between the school and families that it is the cornerstone of the district’s mission.

The district encourages parents to join their children in forming a close relationship with their school. By working together towards a common goal, everyone—especially our children—will benefit.

The Grande Park Elementary School Parent-Teacher Association

Mission

• Bring the home and school into a closer relationship
• Help parents and teachers cooperate in the education of our children
• Foster in students and parents a sense of pride in our school
• Help parents and students feel satisfaction from school accomplishments and involvement
• Support the standards of a quality education

Meetings

The Grande Park Elementary School Parent-Teacher Association meets at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the Grand Park Elementary School Community Room.

Suggestion Box - The PTA Needs Your Input! 

Got an idea for a great PTA activity?  Remember a program you liked at your old school?  Put it in the Suggestion Box!  Your idea will be stored in a permanent database and passed on to the appropriate committee for review.  Just call or email any of the PTA officers.  Be sure to include contact information for follow-up.  This is your PTA and all ideas, large or small, are encouraged.
