School Improvement Plan
Goal #1: The percentage of our students who will meet or exceed the state standard in reading will increase from 90% in 2009 to 95% at the end of 2011 as assessed by the ISAT. The specific low scoring standards/focus areas to improve are summarizing skills and recognizing the author’s purpose. (This is a two year goal.)
Goal #2: The percentage of our students who will meet or exceed the state standard in writing will increase from 85% in 2009 to 90% at the end of 2011 as assessed by the ISAT. The specific low scoring standards/focus areas to improve are support/elaboration and organization. (This is a 2 year goal.)
Goal #3: GrandeParkElementary School will continue to improve our school’s climate by creating activities that foster and promote positive interactions between classrooms, staff, and community. This will be assessed by surveys and participation.

culturally biased.
Strategic Plan Objective District 308 will engage all members of our
partnership to integrate, reinforce, and
assess the character traits to address
those social issues that negatively impact
learning.
Our Plan *Implement a Character Counts Train the
Trainers program for community partners.
*Investigate and secure supplemental
funding resources to support Character
Counts Initiatives.
*Ensure all Schools are consistently
implementing discipline procedures
in a manner consistent of six pillars of
Character Counts.
