After School Sports

This program is designed for fourth and fifth grade students who would like to get involved in team sports, develop their skills, learn basic offensive and defensive strategy, in a competitive, but fun environment.

Honor Choir

Fourth and fifth grade students have the option to join Honor Choir. Honor Choir one morning per week for 45 minutes. This music club is mandated by the School District. That means every Elementary School in Oswego District 308 is required to offer this club for at least one semester.  Participants learn the mechanics of good singing technique, music reading skills, part-singing in harmony, and how to perform and blend with a musical ensemble. All District Honor Choirs participate each May, in a Combined Choir Music Festival. This event is always an exciting and memorable one!  Also, choir members have the chance to keep a T-Shirt and a CD recording from the event. Other performances include Cultural Arts Night, as well as possible other concerts upon the director’s discretion.

The Student Council consists of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Fox Chase school. The 45 member group is led by teachers, Mrs. Baker and Miss Pantalena, as well as 6 executive officers. These officers and representatives were elected by their peers in October. The group meets once a month throughout the school year.

During this time the fifth graders work on the computers imputing images and designing our yearbook pages. On occasion the fifth graders will utilize their recess time to take pictures around the building.

The club is centered around the students' ideas and desires. Previous projects include: Trees for Success (being awarded 10 trees from the Home Depot/Arbor Day Foundation), restoring parts of Fox Chase school grounds to natural prairie, and helping at the Fun Fair while passing out easy tips to help the environment.
