Brokaw Card Catalog (The card catalog can only be accessed from a computer inside the district)
The Brokaw ELC Library
Allows student’s to check out materials that expose them to more reading opportunities and a wide variety of children’s literature. Students are able to check out one library item once every other week on a specified day. A copy of the library schedule is printed on the back side of the Brokaw ELC student calendar. There is a variety of materials available and we encourage parents to stop in and see the various parent and learning resource materials that are available.
All materials have a due date slip with the specified date the item is to be returned. On specified weeks students will check out a “Read At Home” Backpack which consists of a backpack, book and activity sheet. All three items are to be returned on the date indicated on the due date slip.
Parents or Guardians must sign a copy of the Library Lending Policies Form in order for students to be allowed to check out materials. The form outlines the check out, overdue and damaged materials policies. There are fines for damaged or lost materials but there is NOT a fine for overdue materials (unless it is converted to a lost book 2-3 months later).
