Oswego Community Unit School District 308 
embraces the CHARACTER COUNTS! 
program and the "Six Pillars of Character" - 
trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, 
fairness, caring, and citizenship.

CHARACTER COUNTS! bases its 
programs and materials on six ethical
values that everyone can agree on — 
values that are not political, religious, or 
culturally biased.

Strategic Plan Objective District 308 will
 engage all members of our 
partnership to integrate, reinforce, and 
assess the character traits to address 
those social issues that negatively impact 
learning.

Our Plan *Implement a Character Counts 
Train the 
Trainers program for community partners. 
*Investigate and secure supplemental 
funding resources to support Character 
Counts Initiatives.
*Ensure all Schools are consistently 
implementing discipline procedures 
in a manner consistent of six pillars of 
Character Counts.
