Student Clubs & After School Sports
After School Sports-
All After School Sports give 4th and 5th grade boys and girls the opportunity to contribute to a healthy lifestyle and work together as a team. The sports offered during the 2010-2011 school year are Soccer, Basketball, Floor Hockey, and Flag Football.
Character Counts! Club-
4th and 5th grade students will promote Character Counts! at Churchill and in our community. They assist with assemblies, community service projects, random acts of kindness, and much more.
Chess and Checkers Club-
Students will learn basic chess and checkers game play and strategies.
Homework Club-
4th and 5th grade students will meet after school and be provided with extra assistance with homework completion.
Honor Choir-
4th and 5th grade students have the option to join Honor Choir. Honor Choir meets one morning per week for 45 minutes. Participants learn the mechanics of good singing technique, music reading skills, part-singing in harmony, and how to perform and blend with a musical ensemble, District Honor Choir participants come together at the end of the school year to perform in a Combined Choir Music Festival.
Safety Patrol-
5th grade students will demonstrate leadership and responsibility skills as well as assist in providing a safe environment for all students during arrival and dismissal times.
