Home Access Center
The Student Information System used
by Oswego
Community Schools provides parents with a
closer look at day-to-day student
achievement, as well as access to
real-time information about their
student’s attendance, class work, test
scores, report cards and much more.
The
Home Access Center is designed to
offer parents of junior high and high
school students the ability to find
helpful information to support and guide
their children through the educational
process. From home, work
or any PC with Internet access, through
a secure and password-protected website,
parents can get an inside look at a
daily summary of instruction, their
student’s schedule, attendance,
discipline records, assigned class work,
test scores, progress reports, report
cards, etc. The information is updated
in real-time.
E-mail links are available throughout
the center so parents can easily
communicate with the school and
teachers.
To obtain a username and password you will need to register, in
person, with the secretary at the building your student attends.

Home Access Center Portal Guidelines
- Keep your Username and Password confidential! Anyone who has
this information can check your child’s records online from any
computer connected to the Internet. We regard all data, either
electronic or paper-based, as confidential information and will
do our best to protect the privacy of your students. We need
your help with this as well.
- Privacy and security is important to everyone. The Oswego
School District is committed to respecting and protecting your
privacy as a user of the Home Access Center. We will only
collect, store and use the parent, guardian and/or the student
data that is accessed through the Home Access Center for defined
district purposes.
- As parents and guardians you have a responsibility to ensure
that the username and password that is provided to you for
accessing the Home Access Center is kept secure at all times. If
a parent or guardian believes that their password may have been
compromised, the parent or guardian is responsible for changing
their password. We encourage you to periodically change your
password or anytime you feel your password has been compromised.
This can be done online using the Home Access Center. To change
your password, click on the “My Profile” link in the upper right
hand corner. To access this area, you must have your pop-up
blocker disabled if you are using one.
- Please note that assignments will be graded and recorded in
a reasonable amount of time. Major projects and papers require a
longer timeline for grading. Questions about your child’s grades
should be directed to the individual teacher.
- Final grades are determined by teachers using both objective
and subjective criteria. Grades shown in Home Access Center may
not reflect your child’s final grade until all scores are
verified and posted by the school office.
- Progress Reports will be available online at the mid-point
of the marking period. Report Cards will appear online
approximately one week after the end of the marking period.
- Using the Home Access Center information is not a
replacement for checking your student’s planner and/or talking
with your child about assignments and grades. If you feel your
child may be having difficulty in school, please contact the
teacher or counselor.
- If you have questions about accessing or navigating the Home
Access Center, please contact the secretary at your student's
home school. To obtain a username and password you will
need to register, in person, with the secretary at the building
your student attends. More specific questions may be email to John Petzke, Director of
Instructional Technology, at
jpetzke@oswego308.org.
