Course Season. There are several different
coaching positions available.
Delta Aquatics is a rapidly growing team,
located in Oswego , IL just 50 miles southwest
of Chicago . Delta trains daily at the Oswego
East High School pool. Just three years
old, the pool is an 8 lane, 25 yard facility
which includes a 2 lane teaching pool along with
a complete timing system and balcony seating. We
have approximately 180 athletes on our team and
strive to keep a low coach to athlete ratio.
Delta Aquatics is looking for highly
motivated Assistant Coaches whose coaching style
emphasizes technique to lead and grow our
athletes. We are looking for candidates that
have high on deck energy, are positive
influences on the swimmers, and knowledgeable in
the sport of swimming. The ideal candidates
will have a strong coaching background, be able
to work with athletes of all ages and ability,
and be knowledgeable in stroke development and
season planning. The candidates must be excited
to coach, strong motivators and leaders, as well
as effective communicators. Additional skills
would include the ability to interact with
parents and to assist other aspects of the
program.
Flexibility in work schedule is required
(evenings and weekends), as the position
requires attending one to two meets per month in
addition to daily practices. Practice times are
early evening through the end of the school year
and mornings once school is out.
Salary is competitive and commensurate based
on experience and qualification level. The
qualifications listed will need to be obtained
if the applicant does not already have them.
Qualifications include: USA Swimming coaching
credentials, ASCA certification, CPR, First Aid,
and Safety Training for Swim Coaches (or Life
Guard Training). Coaches of all levels are
welcome to apply.
The above positions will be open until
suitable candidates are found with an
anticipated start for the positions in August
2008. Interested applicants should contact
Jessica Bogie (CoachJessica@comcast.net)
for more information. Please include a resume.
