June 13, 2013 | School District 308 received an upgrade in its credit rating from Standard & Poor’s Rating Services.
Periodically, Standard & Poor’s Rating Services reviews the district’s bond obligations and provides a rating opinion. This year’s rating was raised to AA- and affirmed the stable outlook of the district’s General Obligation Bonds. The rating is available on standardandpoors.com and can be used by the district to improve its ability to get a better rate for future borrowing. ...Read More

Monday night, the District 308 Board of Education approved Dr. Louis Lee Jr. as the new leader of Oswego East High School. Dr. Lee will begin his new position in District 308 on July 1. ...Read More

June 12, 2013 | Hunt Club Elementary’s Principal Murray to fill Long Beach Elementary’s principal position
On June 10, the District 308 Board of Education appointed Phil Murray to the top administrative position at Long Beach Elementary School. Murray will start this newest chapter in his District 308 career when he leaves the principalship at Hunt Club Elementary to become the Long Beach Elementary School principal on July 1.
