Do I need to complete an online application for a certified or non-certified position?
Yes, it is required for all Oswego Community Unit School District 308 applicants to fill out the online application. The website also tells you what supporting documents you need to send to the district office.
Should I send my resume to individual schools?
No. When your supporting documents are received by the district, they are scanned into our system and attached to your online application. When the principals are ready to review applications they can do so from their computers and they see everything that you submitted. Principals then contact individuals for interviews.
If I apply, am I guaranteed an interview?
No. District 308 receives hundreds of applications and unfortunately not everyone can be interviewed.
How can I become a substitute teacher in District 308?
A qualified applicant must hold an Illinois TEACHING certificate (no substitute teaching certificates will be accepted), which must be uploaded along with an online application. Current daily rate of pay is $95.00 for a full day.
